Solar Tower Energy Production, Spain
This is not a technology for small scale community development, but a technology that is still in research and development stages for possible future sustainable and green energy production. This is fairly simple and cheap technology that with further development may be a solid alternative to fossil fuel energy production. Given that the majority of the developing world is in extremely hot and sunny climates, this may provide part of the solution to the clean energy needs of the developing world.
